The Piper's Legacy
Dramatic tunes of the
great Highland Bagpipes and its close relative, the Lowland Bagpipe are played by a
Maritime piper, Rob Crabtree. The pipes are accompanied by the familiar Celtic sounds of
fiddle, whistle, guitar, piano, bodhran, snare drum and the intriguing contributions of
trumpet, organ, voice and dulcimer. This recording features some of the oldest and best
loved folk tunes in the bagpipe repertoire complemented with overtures and orchestrations
